Fitness Tracker Test 2024
Independ reviews of Fitness Trackers and Sport Watches

About Me | Florian

Hi, I'm Flo and my world revolves around sports and technology. Perhaps that's why I launched this website in 2015, combining both passions.

If you were to ask who supports me with this site - no one! I am the creative and productive mastermind behind this site and devote a large part of my time to it, often before getting up or after going to bed.

Why? Because it's simply fun, and major online magazines often don't have the time to properly review products, try them out, and share their experiences. Often, you'll find relatively superficial stuff.

Accordingly, my goal is to provide you with as much useful information as possible about fitness trackers, sports watches, and wearables. Nowadays, the market is almost overwhelming, and I hope to provide you with information, so you can make an informed decision.

When I publish a review, you can be sure that I have taken a lot of time to get to know the product, try it out, and write down my experience. Very important: No review here has ever been paid for or has had content dictated. These are all my experiences with the product.

Why is there so little information about you?

I never had to and never wanted to market myself but rather give the featured products the most space. Accordingly, this is not a fitness or runner's blog where I talk about my sporting experiences and achievements, but rather about products that accompany me during sports.

You'd probably be surprised to know that I'm more or less as sporty as you are. Admittedly, I can run 10 km from a standing start, but after that, I'm exhausted, and let's not even talk about the time. Maybe that's what more than 30 years of team sports have left me with.

Why should one trust my opinion?

You really shouldn't. Everyone is encouraged to form their own opinion. Just because I like round watches with buttons doesn't mean it applies to you. In the end, it's my experiences that I share here. You should never forget that.

Objectively, the only data you can rely on are the product specifications, which you can compare here. However, a high score is often a quantitative rather than a qualitative statement.

Despite the experience I have gained while reviewing almost 100 products over the past 9 years, I still try to approach a new topic unbiased and with curiosity. Bad products are rare, or I don't want to deal with them here as my time is too valuable. But there are products that don't meet certain expectations.

And perhaps this classification and assessment will help you in the end. Ultimately, I have come into contact with a lot of products, probably more than many readers here. The experiences I have gained and the knowledge I have acquired over the years, I can pass on to you. What you do with it is up to you.

Do I occasionally change my mind?

Yes, absolutely, and sometimes quite quickly. That's because a product might have evolved and suddenly impresses more or, God knows what, has passed its zenith, showing weaknesses that were not apparent during the initial test.

This is also part of everyday life here, even though it's really the exception. No result is set in stone, no experience so fixed that a new experience cannot change it.

And it also happens to me that I am sometimes wrong, have misrepresented something, or have not written it down because it didn't seem important to me at the time. Use the opportunity to ask questions – I am the last one who isn't interested in your opinion.

Until then - stay healthy...
