2023 has just begun and Garmin appears to be preparing new products at the same pace as in 2022. In this article, I will take a look at the products I expect from Garmin in the coming year.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Garmin has launched several innovative products in 2022. These have included popular products such as the Fenix 7, the Epix Gen 2, and new Forerunner and Instinct models. This year we are going to see more mid-priced wearables but some revised high-end models as well.
|Product Family||Device||Comment||Estimated Release Date|
|I am pretty sure we will see them released this year.||H2/2023|
vivoactive 5 Music
|Though it may be surprising, the vivoactive series does not seem to have reached the end of its life yet.||H2/2023|
|The vivomove Trend's release is imminent.||Q1/2023|
Edge 540 Solar
Edge 840 Solar
|I expected the Edge 540 and Edge 840, with their respective Solar variants, to be announced last year. I guess it will be 2023 then.||H1/2023|
Forerunner 265 Music
Forerunner 265S Music
|Shortly after the release of the Forerunner 255 and 955, rumors about 265 and 965 models popped up on the Internet. There is even a photograph published by the5krunner showing the back face of the Forerunner 265.|
As some FCC filings have been published that resemble the FR265 and FR265S, the release is likely to be imminent.
Garmin Lily 2
|Garmin Epix (Gen2)|
Garmin Epix (Gen2) Pro (42mm)
Garmin Epix (Gen2) Pro (47mm)
Garmin Epix (Gen2) Pro (51mm)
|Expect the Epix (Gen2) to be released as a Pro model in three different sizes.||H2/2023|
|The name "Austin" surfaced last year, and I have no clue if this refers to a brand new series or is the code name for a new product extending an existing series.||2023|
This table may contain wild guesswork, but some of the positions listed are based on early intel that reached me. As soon as there is new or additional information, I will add it here. Thus, you are invited to come back later to check for any additions.
